Although each company functioned separately, they required a unified commerce platform that could accommodate operational variances while providing a smooth B2B experience for their customers.

Multi-Vendor Order Management

Customers could place a single order with products from multiple wine companies. This required splitting orders at checkout by warehouse, ensuring:

  • Individual invoices per fulfilment partner
  • Independent tracking, delivery, and status updates

Warehouse-specific fulfilment logic

Custom Order Management System (OMS)

Salesforce’s native OMS didn’t fully support the brand’s complexity. Cloudespacio designed a custom-built OMS that handled:

  • Intelligent order splitting
  • Shipment grouping by fulfilment centre

Lifecycle tracking for partial returns and cancellations

Real-Time Inventory Integration (OCI)

Inventory was tied to specific cities. Using Order Central Integration (OCI):

  • Real-time stock visibility was enabled per location
  • Overselling was avoided with threshold-based ERP sync

Inventory displayed dynamically based on buyer region

ERP-Driven Pre-Order Validation

Before placing an order, real-time ERP calls are validated:

  • Inventory availability at the warehouse level
  • Updated B2B pricing (volume-based discounts included)

Credit limits and account-specific restrictions
Integration used Named Credentials, External Services, and Apex callouts to maintain security and performance.

Secure Payment Integration

The client’s preferred payment processor wasn’t supported natively. Cloudespacio:

  • Built a custom Lightning Web Component (LWC) for secure checkout
  • Managed tokenization and PCI-compliant encryption
  • Logged every transaction and error to a custom Salesforce object for easy support

Ensured that all sensitive operations happened server-side, outside Salesforce.

Custom Experience Cloud Storefront

Hosted on Salesforce Experience Cloud; the storefront was fully customized:

  • Unique branding for each wine partner
  • Conditional visibility of products per user or role
  • Location-aware filtering and dynamic pricing rules

Optimized UI using Lightning Web Components for a seamless shopping experience.
